The afternoon to evening summer thunderstorms have blown across Cache Valley for the last few nights, with lightning, damaging winds and localized heavy rain. Last night the pattern repeated, with slightly less damage reported. Today’s first photo is of the developing clouds above Clarkston from last night’s storms:
The wind picked up and a small amount of rain fell, but in our location it was milder than the previous evening’s storm. After the storm passed us by and the sky began to clear the remaining clouds shone brilliantly in front of the setting sun:
